Shruti Haasan REACTS On Being Trolled For Her Goth Fashion: 'People Called Me Chudail, But That Is My Aesthetic And It Makes Me Feel Powerful'
Shruti Haasan is one of the most successful actresses in the industry. She enjoys great popularity. However, before she came into the film industry, Shruti had made music her calling. In those days, she identified with goth culture and made that look her own. She recently reverted to that image on her social media, but found several negative comments. She was trolled by netizens and many even called her 'chudail'.

Speaking to Pinkvilla, Shruti said that many social media users would get confused by her goth look and resorted to calling her names like 'vampire' and 'chudail'.

"When I took a break from the movies for a while and started focusing on my music, writing stories in London, I decided to go back to the same. Some people didn't understand it and said she looks like a vampire, horror/chudail," said Shruti. ALSO READ:DID YOU KNOW? The actress further added that she refused to let all these negative comments bother her. "I used to be like it's okay you can call it whatever you want. You can keep calling me chudail, that is my aesthetic and it makes me feel powerful. Now they gave up," added Shruti.

Shruti took a two-year break from the films and made her comeback with the film Yaara. Last year, she starred in five different releases across Tamil, Telugu and Hindi languages.

Up next, she will be seen in Salaar, which is a Telugu and Kannada bilingual film. She will be sharing screen space with Prabhas in the same.
